We mentioned previously that we have been very busy, not only looking after you – our customers, but also helping to supply oxygen concentrators to NHS Trusts around the UK.  At Pure O2 we are pleased to be able to use our skills and supply network to help the wider community across Britain.  The machines we have supplied to these NHS Trusts are our new V series oxygen concentrators.  You might not have heard about these particular units before as we have procured them specifically to supply the NHS at this crucial time.  With demand for oxygen at an all time high it is important that suitable machines were supplied.

What are the key attributes of the V series oxygen concentrator?

Due to the nature of the Covid-19 virus and its impact on the respiratory system, there has been a huge increase in the demand for continuous flow oxygen concentrators.  The V series stationary oxygen concentrators are ideal for the hospital environment as they are very robust and suitable for heavy use, supplying oxygen to patients who need it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  What’s more, these units run extremely quietly so are ideal for hospital wards and care homes where potentially many patients could be using these units simultaneously.

There are two stationary oxygen concentrators available from Pure O2 in the V series.  The V5 and the V8 are the same size and are both robust machines suitable for heavy usage as described above.  The V5 weighs 21kg and the V8 weighs 24kg.  As you may expect the V8 is the most powerful of the 2 units with a power consumption of 480W versus 350W for the V5.  This power usage is converted into providing users with a continuous flow rate of 1l-8lpm for the V8 and 1-5lpm for the V5.  Both units come with a 2 year warranty.  In addition to this the V8 can be linked to another V8 to provide 16lpm of continuous oxygen flow.  You can see these units on our Stationary Oxygen Concentrators product page https://healthoxygen.com/product-category/o2-concentrators/.
